There has been much talk about reform of the Seanad without any action. In many cases it has become the consolation prize for candidates who failed to be elected.
The Seanad should be made up of representatives from all the voluntary groups throughout the country who would be paid expenses.
This would save millions of euros and provide a voice to every sector of the population.
